JoJo: X'mas in Macau and Hong Kong

Part 2 - Hong Kong (Day 2)

Travelled from Macau via Turbojet (HKD166/pax) and it was an hour long roller coaster ride to Hong Kong (Kowloon) Ferry Terminal. Few of the passengers puke and it’s was quite stressful to control the mind. Luckily we managed to get over it but the boyfie felt uncomfortable after the ride. Make sure that you bring some pills with you to avoid sea sickness.

1. Dorsett Mongkok Hotel / 香港旺角帝盛酒店

Just realize that from the tons of photos I took, I forgot to take the picture of the hotel building and its name. hahaha… Really too long never blog already lah.

The taxi cost about HK$50 to the hotel from the Kowloon Ferry Terminal and there is also free shuttle bus service provided by the hotel (1 hour interval). We stayed at Dorsett Mongkok Hotel for the next 3 nights in Hong Kong. The best part of the hotel that attracts us is the FREE handy phone with data and its free IDD calls to Singapore, Malaysia, China, Australia and etc. which you can bring out as a phone or as a hotspot device. This means that there is internet on the go and how techno savvy the hotel is. The room is clean and comfortable; equipped with most of the necessities you needed.

The hotel free shuttle bus service brings you to two locations; Mongkok MTR station infront Langham Place and China Ferry Terminal, and it departs ever hour sharp. However, the hotel is pretty convenient also as it is only 15 minutes walk to the Mongkok MTR station and 10 minutes walk to Olympic MTR Station.

2. Avenue of Stars (Tsim Sha Tsui)

Trying something different other than the typical Hong Kong meal seems like a wrong decision. I regretted for that and should save my stomach for other worthy meal in Hong Kong. Aiksss...

After the unsatisfying dinner, we continue our journey to the Avenue of Stars for the spectacular city’s night view along the Victoria Harbor. The city was filled with lights from the high-rise buildings of central business district area and that represent their identity.

Among all the 100++ celebrities’ plaques / hand prints on the floor, I’m regret to said that I only knew a few of them.

There is also “A Symphony of Lights” starts daily @ 2000 hrs, an interactive laser lighting and music show that make the city so alive.

3. The ONE Shopping Mall (Tsim Sha Tsui)

After the show, we just continue to stroll around Tsim Sha Tsui area. Basically there is nothing special about this mall and nothing much to shop here too. Purposely went here just to see and snap pictures with the air-shipped Pikachu from Yokohama.
